Now Hiring: Chefs/Cooks

We are currently looking to hire full-time chefs/cooks to start immediately at Travail. All positions include being a part of a high paced, creative, and motivated kitchen team. Wage depends on experience. 

After 30 days of employment we offer health insurance, dental, and accident insurance to full time employees. We also offer paid vacation to full time employees, which are set over holidays and in the summer as well as two weeks of your choice.

Now Hiring: Host

Part-time, 24-28hrs/week (with room to grow), $13-$14/hr
3:30-9:30pm Wednesday-Saturday
Travail Kitchen - 4124 W Broadway Ave. Robbinsdale, MN 55422

The Travail Collective is looking for a Host to join our team. We are a chef-driven, fun, and busy restaurant with an excellent reputation and competitive pay. This is a part-time position working nights Wednesday - Saturday. There is room to grow into a more managerial full-time position as our company expands in the beginning of 2019.

We are looking for a professional to warmly greet and serve our guests. You are the first person many of our guests encounter at our restaurant, so we are looking for someone who can represent Travail appropriately.

Job duties:
- Greet and seat guests, and manage walk-ins and reservations
- Be a resource to guests and staff during service (if there’s a question, you’ll have the answer)
- Communicate with guests to resolve questions via phone and email, and delegate as needed
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our online ticketed reservation process
- Process payments through POS

Who we’re looking for:
- must have good phone, face-to-face, and email presence, including the ability to gracefully handle all types of personalities and situations
- must have customer service experience, with restaurant experience preferred (fine dining is a plus)
- is able to multitask with a strong attention to detail, while remaining calm, patient, and kind
- is able to work efficiently and be a self starter, to think on your feet and solve or delegate problems as they arise
- maintains a sense of urgency while remaining calm and poised
- someone who is “quirky AF, yo!” but in a constructive way
- has an interest in sticking around for a while and growing into a full-time lead host at the new Pig Ate My Pizza brewpub opening in 2019 (in which you will be eligible for health and dental benefits and paid time off)

Position requirements: 
- Sitting 75%, Standing 25%
- Proficiency with Telephone/Answering Systems
- Basic knowledge of email and Google Docs
- Mac OS environment experience a plus
- Experience with POS systems
